Diane F. Grannum – Advocate for Early Childhood Education

Diane Grannum is a veteran educator, administrator, and lifelong advocate for children and families. With over 30 years of service in the New York City Department of Education, she helped shape the city’s Universal Pre-K programs that transformed early learning opportunities for thousands of children.

Her book, Creating the Universe: Universal Pre-K in the New York City Public School System 1995–2007, reflects her deep passion for early childhood education and her mission to ensure that every child receives the support, care, and quality education they deserve.
